Autumn Colors on the Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina

The Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville, N.C. is an amazing place to see and photograph during the blazing fall colors of mid-October.

Our focus will be the varied, but extreme mountain landscapes of western North Carolina, using the Blue Ridge Parkway as our primary route through these anceint hills. There will be no long, strenuous hikes and the workshop is designed for the beginning and intermediate-level photographer.

The tuition for this workshop is $525 per person. Meals and lodging are not included. Once you have registered, you will receive an email with further instructions and a confirmation number for our group rate lodging at the Asheville Airport Econologe.

Rough Itinerary*

Friday, October 23 Meet in hotel lobby at 4:00PM for introductions and weekend overview. Sunset shoot until dark. Dinner.

Saturday, October 24 Sunrise to sunset in field at optimal locations for light and weather. There will be time for meals and a mid-day break. Image critique and digital darkroom instruction on Saturday night.

Sunday, October 25 Sunrise until sunset in field. Participants will be able to leave at any time, depending on travel arrangments. Otherwise, I will be staying until sunset.

* This is an estimate since weather and the light will ultimately determine the details of our schedule. It's my job to teach you to be a better photographer and get you to the best places at the very best times. Having flexibilty is the only way I can do that. You just have to trust me that I will give you the best opportunitiess at getting the very best images, based on the conditions.
