Creative Vision Photo Workshops are designed to challenge you to reach new heights with your nature photography. Join Creative Vision instructors Richard Bernabe and Joe Rossbach on an intensive nine-day instructional workshop in Iceland that will help you create photographs you've always dreamed of making.
THE DESTINATION
Iceland is an island country located just south of the Arctic Circle in the North Atlantic. It's about the size of the state of Kentucky, but with only a fraction of the population. Natural features include glaciers, volcanoes, mountains, sheer rock cliffs, pristine black sand beaches, roaring waterfalls, and much more. Wildlife opportunites includes whales, seals, reindeer, fox, puffins, shorebirds, various waterfowl, raptors, and the ever-present iconic Icelandic ponies.
Iceland in July recieves about 20 hours of daylight every day. The "golden hour" oftens stretches into golden hours. It's famed epic light combined with the country's amazing natural features and wildlife make it a photographer's dream - a true bucket list destination.

WHAT TO BRING
Digital SLR Camera
Tripod
A variety of lenses, preferably from wide-angle to telephoto
Polarizing and neutral density filters
Lots of memory cards
Flashlight or headlamp
Extra camera batteries
Laptop (not required but useful for image editing and storage)
Camera manual
Raingear and rain protection for your camera gear
Waterproof boots
Clothing for both warm and cool weather
BASIC ITINERARY
Day One we meet late in the afternoon at the hotel (to be determined) after everyone has arrived from the airport or connecting hotel for a photo presentation and then photo walk around Reykjavik and dinner as a group.
Day Two we leave in the morning for the 2.5 hour drive to our destination on the Snaefells Peninsula where we will photograph waterfalls, mountain scenes and the rugged coastline. Overnight on the Snaefells Peninsula.
Day Three we depart for Geysir and Gullfoss. Overnight in Gullfoss and we will shoot the geysir basin, Gullfoss and a secret glacial waterfall that only a few know about.
Day Four and Five and we are off to Vik to photograph the coastline, take a shot at shooting puffins and sea birds and the amazingly lush and volcanic countryside including a filed of lupines and historic church. Overnight in Vik.
Day Six and Seven we travel to Hofin and spend two days shooting the Jokulsarlon iceberg lagoon, Vatnajokull glacier, Skaftafell National Park, Hofn, and much more.
Day Eight overnight at Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, Icelandic ponies, and more. Drive back to Reyjavik.
Day Nine Back in Reykjavik. Image review and critique session. Tour ends around noon. Depart to Keflavik in the afternoon.
In addition, we will try to be as flexible as possible in order to have the best photo opportunites during the trip.
