Join acclaimed wildlife and nature photographer, Richard Bernabe for a full weekend of exciting landscape and nature photography along the Atlantic Ocean on North Carolina's famed Cape Hatteras Seashore and Outer Banks.
North Carolina's Outer Banks is a land both infinitely brutal and beautiful. For 125 miles, this thin band of barrier islands stretches from the Virginia state line south to Ocracoke Island, protecting the tranquil Pamlico, Albemarle, and Currituck Sounds from the raging Atlantic Ocean. For the photographer, the possibilities are endless. The Sunrises and sunsets over the ocean and sound are some of the most beautiful you will ever witness. The winds and waves sculpt the sand and dunes to help create the perfect landscape to accentuate the ever-present water.
In addition, there are four lighthouses - including the famed Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, migrating shorebirds and waterfowl, wild horses, and maritime live oak forests.
Richard is an experienced Outer Banks photographer and has been leading workshops, guiding photographers, and making personal photo expeditions to the region for over 10 years.

The workshop will focus on teaching professional field techniques for nature photography with digital cameras. That includes proper exposure, working with natural light, composition, creative time exposures, sunrises and sunsets, night photography, and much more.
Richard will also demostration basic image processing techniques and how they are integrated into the entire digital workflow - from capture to print.
 
The workshop begins at 12 noon on Friday, March 9 and ends at noon on Sunday, March 11. Our meeting place and hotel accomodations are at the Comfort Inn in Buxton, North Carolina. Lodging is not included in the tuition price.
