Alaska Brown Bears
Have you ever dreamed of photographing Alaskan brown bears at close range, surrounded by wildflowers and snow-capped mountains in a true wilderness setting? Richard is returning to Alaska once again in 2020 with six lucky photographers to capture the behaviors and moods of the magnificent brown bears that call coastal Alaska home. You will see adult bears and cubs walking the beach and tidal flats digging for clams, chasing salmon, and playing with one another. August is the ideal time for bear photography in southern Alaska and the selected dates are prime time for the best brown bear action.
Your Alaskan home will be the Silver Salmon Creek Lodge on the Cook Inlet of Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. SSCL is so much more than a fishing lodge. They have many years of experience with bear watching and photography clients and their bear guides are some of the best in the world. You will be in good hands with top notch guides and a world class photography instructor in Richard Bernabe. Here are the Trip Advisor reviews for SSCL: Silver Salmon Creek Lodge on Trip Advisor.
